Ice Skating Aids

We offer a range of skating aids to help young children take their first steps on the ice. Penguin skating aids are available to children under 1.20 metres in height (with skates), snowmen are available to children between 1.20 metres and 1.5 metres (with skates) and polar bears are suitable for children under 1 metre in height (wearing skates). Aids will only be issued where there is a parent or guardian providing assistance.

For health and safety of your child and other skaters, we cannot permit skating aids to be used by taller children or adults regardless of their skating ability. This is due to manufacturers guidelines and risk assessments compiled by council staff and health and safety officers.

*The number of Skating Aids are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
